Dorothy & Alice: Pick-A-Path Series

Click here for the Dorothy & Alice Hub

A pick-a-path story is an interactive form of storytelling where you, the reader, make the decisions for the protagonists. But unlike the decision based books of your youth, Dorothy & Alice is intended for a more mature audience. Each choice will have dire consequences. Some may advance the story while others could very well end it!

Don’t like the Outcome of a certain Decision? Just turn back to one of the designated points to continue where you left off!

In Under the Rainbow, Dorothy Gale has been cursed to never smile again after an encounter with a strange robot that has been kidnapping story book characters and absorbing their otherwise happy endings.

But once teaming up with Alice of Wonderland fame, the two Heroines embark on an adventure through literary classics in order to find out who’s behind the insanity and get vengeance for Dorothy!

Help them navigate the perilous literary multiverse! Will you steer them towards success? Or lead them to a grim demise?

JSG was the most fun I’ve ever had writing a story. The best part is, it was never meant to be released to the public!

What started as a writing prompt meant only for myself and my friend Louis, turned into the love letter to 80s and 90s Sci-Fi Action Adventure movies it is today.

From bar brawls and martial arts tournaments, to time traveling and playing in a Groove Metal band, our nameless protagonist faked his own death in the year 1991 and sets out on a quest to get into as much shit as he can find.

Not for the easily offended, the language used in this story is but one relic of 1990s culture that permeates this story. But even the print size itself feels like a trade paperback from a bygone era.

long blond hair and horns are sitting in front of a mirror inside a cave-like room. One girl is applying makeup or lipstick to the other. The room is cluttered with clothing, a bottle, and various items including a dress hanging on a rack. A suitcase with a pair of boots is on the floor, and there is a mounted creature or large object on the left side. A sign with the words "TOGGLE" and numbers is visible near the center, and a speech bubble from the girl on the left says, "TIME TO SHOW THE WORLD A NEW ME!"

Here’s a novella I wrote in 2023 that was way outside the box from my normal writing.

I wanted to try my hand at writing something a little more generally “Lit Fic.“ No Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Action or even Adventure to be found in this one!

After seeing the movie, Intruders, I wanted to write a story that featured someone dealing with extreme agoraphobia. But do it in such a way that the reader gets a more realistic impression of what the illness even is. I also didn’t want to do anything horrifying like that movie!

One part love story, one part incel redemption story, you can read Love Me For Who I Am on Kindle Unlimited or purchase it for $2.99!

Fun Fact: Doing my research for this story led me to meeting C.C. Judge. You may recognize her credits in some of my other work. She’s been an invaluable beta reader and proof reader.

Alright! Now we’re digging in deep!

This is a short story I wrote in 2013 for a writing competition. It’s actually just an excerpt I fleshed out from an outline I had for a bigger story. I wrote it while Glimmer in the Ashes was being edited and I never ended up writing the full book due to time constraints, marketing GITA and interest in other projects.

It’s very likely that this is probably the worst thing I have ever published because it was written and edited in less than two weeks due to the writing competition deadline. I was also very early in my journey of taking writing seriously.

P.S. There’s a character in this based on a real person I knew. I doubt it could ever be uncovered who I was writing about. But at least my veiled threats to them are likely past the statute of limitations!
